备注	The Monetary Bureau of Government Kansu was one of several provincial financial authorities operating in northwestern China during the Nationalist period, issuing fractional notes to address chronic small-denomination shortages that central bank supply lines rarely reached. Gansu (romanized as "Kansu" in the Wade-Giles convention standard to this era) remained economically isolated enough that local paper circulated with near-complete indifference to what was happening in Nanjing. Provincial issues from this region are consistently underrepresented in Western collections — not because of low survival rates per se, but because so little material left the province before 1949.
