Obverse description Left-facing crowned and draped bust of King George V occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with fine detail on the imperial crown and military uniform. A beaded inner border frames the effigy, with the circumscribed Latin legend reading GEORGIVS V REX ET IND:IMP: divided around the periphery. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower edge of the field. The overall design follows the standard De Saulles-derived portrait type used across British colonial coinage of the period.
