正面描述 Printed in blue ink on plain paper, the note is framed by a simple geometric border with corner diamond ornaments. The denomination '= 50 = céntimos' appears in rectangular panels at upper left and upper right, flanking a central vignette of a radiant rising sun. The issuing authority name in decorative script occupies the central field, with the payment promise and date inscribed below in cursive lettering, followed by two manuscript signature lines.

备注

Villajoyosa — a small coastal municipality in Alicante province — was one of dozens of Spanish Republican towns that issued emergency fractional currency during the Civil War after the hoarding of metal coinage created a severe transactional crisis. The Consejo Municipal issues were purely practical: coins had vanished from circulation and commerce needed something to function on. These locally-authorized paper fractions had no backing and no guarantee beyond the authority of a town council operating under wartime conditions.

Provincial emergency issues from this period vary enormously in surviving quantity, and small Alicante municipalities are generally underrepresented in collections outside Spain.
