| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed in reddish-brown ink on plain paper, the note is framed by a double-rule rectangular border with ornamental scrollwork at each corner and a repeating dot-and-scroll frieze running along the top and bottom edges. The issuer's name CONSEJO MUNICIPAL arches in bold capitals across the upper centre with VALDEALGORFA set in smaller type beneath, flanked by small floral typographic ornaments, while the denomination 50 CENTIMOS is set in large bold capitals in the centre field. A lower text band carries the legal tender and redemption clause in italic type, dated Mayo, 1937 to the right, with the numeral value 0'50 repeated in each corner. |
