备注

Ulldecona is a small municipality in the Tarragona province, and like hundreds of Catalan and Valencian towns during the Spanish Civil War, it resorted to issuing its own fractional emergency currency in 1937 when Republican Spain faced a catastrophic shortage of small-denomination coins. The Republican government had authorized local councils to fill the gap, and Imprenta Montsià — a local press operating within the town itself — produced this note entirely within the community it served.

Turró catalogs over 2,700 distinct Spanish Civil War municipal emissions; this one at #2612 is among the less frequently encountered, given Ulldecona's modest population and the limited print runs typical of such hyperlocal issues.
