Opmerkingen

Tagamanent is a municipality in the Vallès Oriental comarca with a population that hovered around 200 during the 1930s. That a village this small issued its own fractional currency is not an anomaly — under the Republican government's 1937 authorization, hundreds of Catalan municipalities did exactly this to address the acute shortage of small change caused by coin hoarding in the early months of the Civil War. Gràfiques Unificades in Granollers handled a substantial volume of these local emissions across the comarca.

Turró catalogs this as a scarce piece, which is unsurprising given the tiny issuing population and the short window of practical use before the Nationalist advance into Catalonia in 1938–39 rendered all Republican municipal paper worthless.
