| Obverse description | Printed in violet ink, the note is framed by a geometric border enclosing an allegorical Republican vignette in which a seated female figure, representing the Republic, holds an open book in one hand while resting against the shield of the Spanish Republic, with a lion recumbent at her feet. Text legends are arranged above and below the central vignette, with the denomination and issuing authority stated in letterpress. A cautionary notice at the foot of the note advises that the bill is invalid without the stamp and serial number applied to the reverse. |
