| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed entirely in red letterpress, the reverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette composed of overlapping concentric circular and petal-shaped lathe-work patterns. Within the innermost circle, the face value "0'50" appears in bold numerals above the word "CÈNTIMS". The issuing authority name arches around the upper and lower perimeter of the design in curved lettering, with the printer's imprint running along the bottom margin. |

Ribes del Penedès is a small municipality in the Alt Penedès comarca, and like hundreds of Catalan towns during the Civil War, it issued its own fractional currency in 1937 to compensate for the near-total disappearance of small coin from circulation — hoarded almost immediately once the Republic's monetary situation became uncertain. The Generalitat de Catalunya formally authorized municipal issues of this kind, which is why so many survive with consistent printing quality despite their local origins.
The C.A.M. printer in Barcelona handled a remarkable volume of these municipal emergency notes across the region, giving many of them a shared aesthetic despite different issuing authorities.
