| Opmerkingen |
Rafelbuñol is a small municipality in Valencia's Huerta Nord comarca, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, its municipal council issued emergency fractional currency in 1937 when Republican-zone coinage effectively ceased to circulate. The Republican government never fully approved this localized money creation, but it tolerated it out of necessity — the alternative was commercial paralysis at the neighborhood level.
Printed by Tip. M. Zamit in the nearby town of Meliana, this 50 céntimos note belongs to a documented series catalogued under Gari Mon #1216-B. Meliana operated as a small regional print hub for several surrounding municipalities during this period.
