| 表面の説明 | Hand-lettered text in black ink states the face value and bears a manuscript serial number, set against a violet geometric underprint. A circular municipal stamp of the Republican Mayoralty of Ráfales is impressed in violet ink, serving as the principal authenticating device. The overall design is of simple, utilitarian character consistent with wartime emergency issue production. |

Ráfales is a small municipality in the comarca of Matarraña, Teruel — Aragonese territory that fell under Republican control during the early phase of the Civil War. Like hundreds of other Spanish villages in 1936–37, the local council issued its own emergency fractional currency after silver and copper coinage disappeared almost entirely from circulation, hoarded or melted within weeks of the July 1936 uprising. These municipal notes were born of necessity, not monetary ambition.
The Gari Monje reference number is unassigned, suggesting the piece was either catalogued late or remains incompletely documented — not unusual for the smaller Aragonese emissions, many of which survive in tiny quantities and were never formally registered during the original survey work.
