Opmerkingen

Quintanar de la Orden — a small Castilian municipality in Toledo province — issued emergency fractional notes during the Spanish Civil War, part of the enormous wave of local paper money that flooded the Republican zone after the July 1936 military uprising disrupted coin circulation almost immediately. The Banco de España had suspended specie payments years earlier, but it was the hoarding and melting of copper and silver coins in the war's opening weeks that forced hundreds of municipalities, cooperatives, and councils to print their own scrip.

The Gari Montllor reference is unconfirmed for this specific emission, suggesting the note may be poorly documented or known from very few survivors.
