| Opmerkingen |
Puebla Larga is a small municipality in the Valencia region, and its wartime municipal scrip is among the more obscure emissions of the Spanish Civil War period. The Consejo Municipal issued these notes under the acute small-change shortage that gripped Republican-controlled territory from 1936 onward — silver and copper had vanished from circulation almost immediately after the July coup, hoarded or melted, leaving local councils across the region scrambling to print their own fractional substitutes.
The Turró and Gari catalogues together document only a handful of surviving types from Puebla Larga, suggesting the total print run was small and local redemption rates high.
