Puebla de Don Fadrique is a small municipality in the Granada province, and this note is one of hundreds of hyperlocal emergency issues that flooded Republican-held Spain during the Civil War after the military uprising of July 1936 severed supply chains and caused coin to vanish almost immediately from circulation.
