| 备注 |
Montclar is a tiny settlement in the comarca of Solsonès, Lleida — the kind of place that in peacetime would never have issued its own currency. The Civil War changed that. With Republican-zone coinage hoarded or melted down from mid-1936 onward, hundreds of Catalan municipalities and submunicipal juntas scrambled to print emergency fractional notes to keep local commerce moving. This 50 céntimos piece is exactly that: a wartime stopgap, not a banking instrument.
Imprenta A. Figueres in Tàrrega handled production for several small Lleida-area issues during the same period, which means the physical printing is relatively competent for its scale. The official stamp is the sole security measure — common across Catalan guerra civil issues and, predictably, easy to replicate.
