Anmerkungen

Maçanet de la Selva is a small municipality in the Girona province of Catalonia, and like hundreds of similarly sized towns, it issued its own emergency fractional currency in 1937 after the Republic's small coinage effectively vanished from circulation in the early months of the Civil War. These local issues — collectively catalogued under the broader "Guerra Civil" municipal series — were authorized under a decree that allowed ayuntamientos to print their own change-substitute notes, with no central oversight of design or quality.

Turró 1390 is among the more obscure Girona provincial entries. Production volumes for towns of this size were typically in the low thousands, and survival rates are correspondingly poor.
