| 正面描述 | Red letterpress note on cream paper stock, with a plain rectangular border framing the entire design. The denomination numerals '50' appear in each corner, with 'CTS.' indicated at upper right and lower left. A central guilloche underprint carries the large bold value '50 CTS.' across the middle field. Above it, the issuing legend runs in a single line, and below the central value the title 'EL PRESIDENTE C. M.' precedes a manuscript signature. |

Letur is a small municipality in the Sierra del Segura, Albacete province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it resorted to locally issued paper during the Civil War when Republican-zone coinage effectively vanished from circulation. These consejo municipal notes were emergency substitutes, produced to handle daily transactions that metallic currency could no longer support after 1936.
The Gari Montllor catalogue remains the primary reference for these Albacete provincial pieces. Survival is uneven — small-run municipal issues were often printed on whatever stock was available and rarely survived the post-war years intact.
