| 备注 |
Jorba is a small municipality in the comarca of Anoia, Catalonia, with a population historically numbering in the hundreds. During the Spanish Civil War, the Republican government's decree of June 1937 authorized municipalities to issue their own fractional currency — the moneda municipal — to address a catastrophic shortage of small change caused by silver and copper hoarding. Jorba's 50 Céntimos issue is among the smallest-scale emissions of this type, produced for a community that would have required only minimal quantities to function.
The Turró catalogue documents over a thousand such local issues, and the sheer volume of participating municipalities means individual pieces from minor villages remain genuinely obscure. Jorba's note is one of them.
