Iznalloz is a small municipality in the province of Granada, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it issued its own emergency small-change notes during the Civil War after the Republic's coinage effectively vanished from circulation. These local issues — collectively catalogued under the broader Guerra Civil cartón and papel moneda series — were produced under chaotic conditions, often printed or handstamped on whatever stock was available locally, with authorization granted by the town's municipal council.
The Gari Monerris reference places this firmly within the documented Andalusian municipal issues, though survivorship for any single Iznalloz denomination is low. Local paper from this period was not made to last.
