Opmerkingen

Herrera de los Navarros is a small municipality in the province of Zaragoza, Aragon — territory that changed hands more than once during the Civil War. Local emergency currency of this kind was authorized under Republican decree in 1937 to address the acute shortage of small coinage after hoarding and disruption to the Mint's distribution network. Hundreds of Spanish municipalities issued their own paper fractions that year, most in tiny print runs, and survival rates are low simply because the notes were poorly made and treated as disposable.

The Gari Montllor census remains the primary reference for these Aragonese locales, and the 758-A designation suggests at least one variant exists within the type.
