The central vignette presents a helmeted soldier alongside a worker, a composition evoking the Republican alliance of military and civilian labour during the Spanish Civil War. Red letterpress overprinting superimposed on the face of the original note introduces the revised denomination and the authorisation text of the Government Commission session dated 31 May 1937. |
