正面描述 Letterpress-printed on plain cream-coloured card stock in dark brown ink throughout. The issuing authority is set in two lines at the top — "CONSEJO MUNICIPAL" above a horizontal rule, followed by "FERNANCABALLERO" above a second rule — with the denomination legend "Vale por 50 céntimos" centred below. A handwritten serial number and the manuscript date "Octubre 1937." occupy the lower portion, accompanied by a partially legible circular ink stamp at the left.

备注

Fernancaballero is a small municipality in Ciudad Real province, Castilla-La Mancha, and this 50 céntimos note is a product of the acute small-change crisis that paralyzed Republican-held Spain during the Civil War. From 1936 onward, coins vanished from circulation almost entirely — hoarded, melted, or simply absent — forcing hundreds of Spanish municipalities to print their own emergency fractional currency. The Consejo Municipal issues were technically illegal under central Republican monetary law, but the government tolerated them out of practical necessity.

The thick card stock was a deliberate choice at the local level, intended to give the note enough physical durability to survive hand-to-hand use in a wartime village economy. Few of these hyper-local emissions survived in quantity; most were redeemed, lost, or destroyed when the Nationalist advance reached the region in 1939.
