| 表面の説明 | Plain white note printed in black letterpress with the issuer name 'Consejo Municipal de Énova' at the top, separated from the central field by a ruled line. The denomination numeral '50' occupies the centre in large bold type, with 'céntimos' in a smaller serif font at the lower right, underlined by a single rule. A handwritten authorization in violet ink crosses the face diagonally, serving as an official validation signature. |

Énova is a small municipality in the comarca of La Ribera Alta, Valencia, and like hundreds of similar villages across the Republican zone, its municipal council issued emergency fractional paper during 1937 to compensate for the near-total disappearance of metallic coinage from circulation. The Republican government repeatedly attempted to address the coin shortage centrally but failed to do so effectively, leaving local councils — many of them tiny — to print their own solutions.
Survival rates for these hyper-local Valencian municipal issues vary wildly. Énova's population was small enough that total print runs were likely negligible, and what wasn't spent was rarely kept.
