| Reverse description | Dark brown and blue letterpress text enclosed within a geometric ornamental border. A lightly printed background vignette depicts an ancient Greek galley under sail, an allusion to the Greek colonial origins of Empúries. The text in Catalan identifies the note as an exchange voucher issued under the municipalization of services and popular cooperatives scheme. |

One of hundreds of small-denomination emergency notes issued by Catalan municipalities in the opening weeks of the Civil War, when the collapse of small coin circulation left local commerce effectively paralyzed. The Generalitat de Catalunya eventually moved to regularize these emissions, but in mid-1936 individual ajuntaments and consells were acting entirely on their own authority — or what remained of it.
Imprenta C. Barnés in Palamós was a local commercial printer, not a specialist in security printing. Many notes from this class show minimal anti-counterfeiting measures, which mattered little given their purely hyper-local circulation radius.
Turró 926 is among the less-documented issues from the Alt Empordà area.
