(Translation: The Municipal Council of Darro (Granada) will pay the bearer the amount of 50 Centimos)
Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse is entirely plain, printed on the same salmon-pink stock as the obverse, with no typographic or decorative elements. A pencilled collector's notation appears in the upper right corner, presumably added by a later owner. The surface shows the characteristic fibrous texture of the plain utility paper used for this wartime emergency issue.

Opmerkingen

Darro is a small municipality in Granada province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, its municipal council issued emergency fractional notes — moneda local — to address the near-total disappearance of metallic coinage from circulation after 1936. These pieces were produced locally, often on whatever paper was available, with little standardization and no central oversight. The Gari Montllor catalog reference being incomplete signals how obscure this emission remains; many municipal issues from rural Andalusia were never properly documented.
