Opmerkingen

Arjonilla is a small municipality in Jaén province, Andalusia. Like hundreds of Spanish towns, it issued its own fractional emergency currency during the Civil War after the Republican government's 1936 decree authorizing local councils to print low-denomination scrip to address the near-total disappearance of coin from circulation. These municipal issues were produced locally, often by whatever printer — or printing equipment — happened to be available, which accounts for the crude execution typical of the series.

Gari Mon#192-B designates a specific variant within the Arjonilla listings; the "B" suffix implies at least one earlier type exists for this denomination.
