| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed entirely in green on cream paper, the obverse carries the municipal emblem of Arenys de Munt — an octagonal vignette enclosing the initials 'A' and 'R' — centred at the top between the issuing authority inscription. The face value '50 CÈNTIMS' is rendered in large bold letterpress type at centre, beneath a Catalan-language bearer clause in cursive script, with the date 'Arenys de Munt, a 5 d'Abril del 1937' below. Three manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed respectively to the Conseller d'Economia, the President del Consell, and the Secretari, within a decorative guilloche-style border frame. |

One of thousands of emergency fractional notes produced by Catalan municipalities during the Civil War, when the Republic's coinage supply collapsed almost entirely in 1936–37. Copper and silver disappeared from circulation through hoarding and wartime disruption, forcing local councils — many of them newly empowered by revolutionary politics — to print their own small-denomination paper to keep daily commerce moving.
Arenys de Munt is a small inland municipality in the Maresme comarca. Its issues are catalogued by Turró but remain obscure outside specialist collections of Guerra Civil local paper.
