The Consejo Municipal — functioning as a de facto local authority under Republican administration — issued these low-denomination céntimos notes precisely because small change had effectively vanished from everyday commerce by 1936–37. The Gari Mon reference remains unassigned, suggesting this piece either escaped systematic cataloguing or survives in very limited numbers known to specialists.
