| 备注 |
Almadenejos is a tiny municipality in Ciudad Real province, sitting near the Almadén mercury mining district — one of the richest mercury deposits ever worked. During the Spanish Civil War, hundreds of Spanish municipalities issued their own emergency small-change notes (the so-called billetes locales) when Republican-zone coinage essentially disappeared from circulation, hoarded or melted. The Consejo Municipal replaced the elected Ayuntamiento under Republican wartime administration, and its name on the note signals 1937 issue timing precisely.
The Gari Monetary catalogue entry remains unnumbered, suggesting this piece was recorded late or from a single known example. Civil War local issues from villages this small frequently survive in single digits.
