Alcubierre is a small village in the Monegros desert of Aragon, and during the Spanish Civil War it briefly became a collectivized anarchist community — one of hundreds that sprang up across Republican territory after July 1936. Like many such collectives, it issued its own scrip to keep local exchange functioning when the national monetary system effectively disintegrated. These emergency emissions were backed by nothing more formal than collective agreement, and most circulated only within the village itself.

The Gari Mon reference places this firmly in the specialized literature on Spanish Civil War local issues — a field where forgeries and fantasy notes do exist, and provenance matters.
