Opmerkingen

Albondón is a small municipality in the Alpujarra region of Granada province, and like hundreds of similarly sized Spanish towns, it issued emergency fractional paper during the Civil War years to compensate for the near-total disappearance of metallic coinage from circulation. The Gari Mon catalogue documents these municipal emissions — many produced with nothing more sophisticated than a local rubber stamp and an official's signature — and the 60-B reference places this squarely in that improvised wartime framework.

The manuscript signature and applied stamp are the only authentication the issuing authority could manage. For a village in the Alpujarras in 1936–39, that was simply the reality.
