Obverse description The Venezuelan national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting the quartered shield with a wheat sheaf in the upper left canton, crossed flags and weapons in the upper right canton, and a white horse galloping to the left in the lower half. The shield is flanked by two cornucopias tied with a ribbon at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 CENTIMOS and the date appear along the lower periphery. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
