| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by a large five-pointed star (pentagram), the symbol of the Alaoui dynasty, rendered in bold relief against an intricately decorated background of arabesques and foliate scrollwork in the Moroccan artistic tradition. A stylized rose or rosette motif occupies the centre of the star. The entire design is enclosed within a dodecagonal border ornamented with a continuous band of scrolling vegetal decoration, consistent with the ornamental vocabulary of the Paris Mint's Moroccan coinage series of the 1920s. |
