| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large five-pointed star (Seal of Solomon), rendered in bold relief with elegantly interlaced geometric bands. The triangular segments formed between the arms of the star are richly decorated with symmetrical arabesques and scrolling foliate motifs in the Moorish tradition. At the centre of the star, a stylised rosette or floral medallion serves as the focal point of the composition. The dodecagonal (twelve-sided) border is defined by a fine beaded inner rim, beyond which a narrow band of repeating scroll ornament follows the contour of each facet. The overall design reflects the refined decorative vocabulary of Moroccan Islamic art. |
