The Société Anonyme de la Grande Comore was a French colonial plantation company operating on Grande Comore island, and like similar enterprises across French colonial Africa, it issued its own token coinage for use within its labor system — paying workers in scrip redeemable only at company stores, effectively tying wages to the issuing company itself.
