Obverse description The obverse is headed by the title RÉGION PROVENÇALE within an architectural band, below which the large denomination numeral '50 C.' in red letterpress occupies a central rectangular guilloche frame flanked on each side by olive branches with fruit rendered in blue and red. A garland of grapes, flowers, and foliage spreads across the lower portion, with the 'RP' monogram repeated at the lower left and right corners, while three facsimile signatures of the presidents of the Chambres de Commerce of Avignon, Marseille, and Nîmes are printed beneath the denomination panel.

The denomination '50 C.' appears at upper left and upper right within the border, with the names of principal regional towns inscribed along the lower register, and a redemption notice stipulating the reimbursement deadline of 31 December 1922 printed across the bottom.
