Obverse description Central design features a large raised pentagram (five-pointed star), the traditional Seal of Solomon emblematic of the Moroccan Cherifian dynasty, set against a plain field with decorative foliate scrollwork filling the interstices between the star's points. The legend reads 'EMPIRE CHERIFIEN' in Latin characters along the left and right periphery, while Arabic inscriptions arc across the upper portion of the coin. The word 'MAROC' appears in Latin capitals at the base, accompanied by the Arabic equivalent above it, all enclosed within a raised rim.
