| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a richly composed allegorical vignette in dark grey intaglio, with a rearing horse to the left and a bull's head to the right, symbolising the agricultural character of the Gers department. The central denomination oval '50 cent.' is surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves, with a cockerel and pastoral implements at the base. Four municipal coats of arms — for Lectoure, Lombez, Condom, and Mirande — are arranged in the corners, with the arms of Auch at the top centre, all within a fine guilloche border. |
