| Obverse description | Red letterpress border with ornate guilloche corners frames the note. At the top centre, two heraldic shields flanked by laurel branches form the vignette of the issuing chamber. A repetitive microtext underprint reading 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE GRAY ET VESOUL' fills the central field, over which the denomination 'CINQUANTE CENTIMES' is printed in large bold type, with the issuer name and deliberation date above in smaller capitals.
