| Obverse description | Printed in red-orange on cream paper, the obverse carries the heading CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE DE CAEN ET DE HONFLEUR in bold letterpress across the upper centre, flanked at each corner by the denomination 0.50 in white numerals within solid red squares. A decorative garland of fruit and foliage runs along the top border, while twisted rope ornaments frame the lateral edges. The large central denomination figure 0,50 F is overprinted in deep red, below which two municipal coats of arms — those of Caen and Honfleur — are rendered in a heraldic vignette surrounded by oak-leaf sprays. Two facsimile signatures appear to either side of the denomination, each captioned with the title Le Président de la Chambre de Commerce, and the series letter and serial number are recorded at the foot. |
