| Obverse description | Dark brown letterpress design on cream paper with a yellow-green guilloche underprint bearing the repeated text 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BAR-LE-DUC'. An ornate border of interlaced guilloche panels, rosettes, and foliate corner motifs frames the central field, with the denomination '0,50' set in decorative cartouches at each corner. At the top centre, a heraldic shield surmounted by a ducal crown and flanked by laurel branches serves as the principal vignette, below which the issuer's name and denomination '50 CENTIMES' appear in bold serif type. Two manuscript signatures appear at the lower portion alongside the serial number, with the printer's imprint 'NANCY-PARIS - BERGER-LEVRAULT' at the foot. |
