| Obverse description | Salmon-pink guilloche underprint covers the entire field, framed by an ornate letterpress border with caduceus vignettes on the left and right sides and anchor-and-tools vignettes at the lower corners. At the top centre, the municipal coat of arms of Angoulême is set within a decorative cartouche flanked by the motto FORTITUDO MEA and CIVIUM FIDES, with circular série medallions at each upper corner. The denomination 50 CENTIMES is printed in large bold type across the centre, above the manuscript signatures of the Trésorier and the Président, with the emission date and serial number printed at the foot. |
