| Obverse description | Draped allegorical bust of Liberty facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with a large bow or cockade at the back, rendered in the refined Art Nouveau style characteristic of engraver Louis-Oscar Roty. The truncation bears the engraver's signature ROTY and the name LAFORESTRIE. The circular legend reads REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI with a star separator at top, followed by the Haitian Republican year AN 92, and the fineness and weight specifications 835 MILL. 1895. 12,5 GRAM. around the lower field.
