The engraver's signature 'E. A. OUDINÉ F.' appears in small lettering at the base of the neck truncation. The encircling legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' runs along the periphery, with a six-pointed star positioned above the effigy at twelve o'clock. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style characteristic of Oudiné's work for the Second Republic. |
