| Reverse description | The open field displays the denomination C . 50 in large Latin numerals at center, surmounted by a rayed six-pointed star at the top of the field. Below the denomination appear two lines of multilingual inscription in Ge'ez (Ethiopic) script and Arabic script, denoting the value as one-tenth of a birr and one-tenth of a rial respectively. The circular legend COLONIA ERITREA arcs around the upper periphery in Latin capitals. The lower portion of the field is framed by two crossed olive branches. The mint mark M (Milan) appears at the very bottom between the branches. The coin's border is formed by a continuous ring of beads. |
