| 备注 |
The Banco Central de la República Dominicana began issuing its own currency in 1947, replacing the notes of the Banco de Reservas. This 50 Centavos Oro belongs to a short-lived series tied to the final years of the Trujillo dictatorship — Rafael Trujillo was assassinated in May 1961, and the political upheaval that followed disrupted normal banking operations and accelerated the replacement of several circulating series.
The "Oro" designation was a holdover from earlier monetary conventions linking the Dominican peso to a gold standard that was no longer practically operative by this date.
