| 背面描述 | The reverse is entirely blank, presenting a smooth, featureless field with no devices, legends, or inscriptions. This uniface characteristic is consistent with the nature of this piece as an obverse trial strike, produced solely to evaluate the obverse die design and striking quality. |

Trial pieces for Nicaraguan coinage in this period were produced as part of the bidding and approval process between the Nicaraguan government and competing foreign mints — primarily American and European — vying for production contracts. Aluminium was the standard proofing material of choice for these submissions, cheap enough to strike speculatively but visually distinct enough to clearly mark a piece as non-circulating.
The 1912 date coincides with the height of U.S. financial intervention in Nicaragua, when American banking interests effectively administered the national treasury under the Knox-Castrillo Convention.
