| 备注 |
Waterlow & Sons had a long relationship with Central American issuers, and the Guatemalan series of this period reflects the firm's late output before its absorption into De La Rue in 1961 — meaning notes printed in 1959 were produced by a company that had fewer than two years left as an independent entity.
The fractional quetzal denomination had real purchasing power in Guatemala at this time. A 50 centavos note was not pocket change.
