| Obverse description | Printed in red on cream paper, the obverse carries a central vignette of the Hospital de S. José building set in a landscape with trees, rendered in fine letterpress. A scroll banner at the top bears the inscriptions 'HOSPITAL DE S. JOSÉ' and 'ARCOS DE VALDEVEZ', while the municipal coat of arms appears in a circle at the upper right. The denomination '50 CENTAVOS' is displayed in large figures at the lower left within a decorative cartouche, and a manuscript signature of the Provedor appears at centre right, all enclosed by a continuous rosette-pattern border. |
