Obverse description A roughly executed hand-stamped eagle displayed in profile, perched above a spray of foliage, occupying the central field of the coin. The design is characteristically crude and uneven in relief, consistent with emergency wartime hand-stamped coinage produced during the Mexican Revolution. The eagle motif follows the national emblem tradition but is rendered with minimal fine detail due to the primitive stamping technique. The surface shows considerable irregularity and variation in depth of strike across the field.
