| Obverse description | A roughly executed hand-stamped eagle displayed in profile, perched above a spray of foliage, occupying the central field of the coin. The design is characteristically crude and uneven in relief, consistent with emergency wartime hand-stamped coinage produced during the Mexican Revolution. The eagle motif follows the national emblem tradition but is rendered with minimal fine detail due to the primitive stamping technique. The surface shows considerable irregularity and variation in depth of strike across the field. |

| Additional information |
Amecameca issued its own emergency copper coinage during the Mexican Revolution, when the collapse of the federal monetary system forced hundreds of municipalities, haciendas, and military factions to produce local scrip simply to facilitate daily commerce. These municipal issues were never intended as permanent currency — most circulated only within the immediate locality and were redeemable, in theory, against future federal settlements that often never materialized.
KM#686 is among the more obscure municipio issues from the State of Mexico, and documentation on its precise emission date and authorized mintage remains sparse in the standard references.
